Schools over!

Hi Mom! School is over, as you know.. I'm sorry I haven't updated in ages, in the time I've been away I interned at Disney, had an amazing senior year, and have been mostly super busy making a film with my good friends Uri and Elizabeth. We just posted a trailer which I'm embedding here, check it out! (Make it fullscreen) The film itself will be out soon, so hold tight! Otherwise.. I'll be interning this summer at Pixar as a story artist and I'll post again soon with actual drawings!

Art Show

Hey, so its summer now and the lazies have begun.. but I woke up from it the other day long enough to put together a couple pieces for my town art show. Here you go
This one was inspired by Margaret Rutherford who played Agatha Christie's character of Miss Marple in a few movies. I was recently watching some and was taken by her character and the idea of an old lady with the spunk to get out and solve some mysteries.

I've heard a lot about Illustration Friday, and I have a few friends who have been doing it. So I figured I'd give it a crack. I'm going to try to do it pretty regularly which will hopefully keep me posting more frequently too! The word this week is journey.

It's been a while...

Ok I'm sorry. I have neglected this blog in the worst way. In any case I wont say any more, but here are a couple animatics that I've done this school year so far.

Wallstreet Cyclops

This was my entry for the Sketchoholic contest/interview with Nate Wragg the other day. The theme was "Wallstreet Cyclops". It was fun to make and kinda fool around with photoshop a bit! :)

So summer has begun now too and I'm working on a bunch of things. I'll try to keep this somewhat updated with what I'm doing. So far I've been sketching and working on a few stories. Here are two things I made for my town art show.

Sophomore Things

So to finish off the things from this past year. Here is my final assignment for Computer Animation this year, the Sit Stand. I had to make a character sit and stand. Here it is.

Also here are three animatics I made during this year put together into a reel. The first two were assignments to show some event from someone's perspective and were supposed to involve some sort of magical or unreal element. The last was an assignment involving a character taking something from another character. Enjoy!

portfolio thing 2010

well.. it's basically the end of the year. Just a couple days left.. and this is my portfolio that I put together this year It's basically a bunch of silly half storyboards and drawings.. there's a lot I want to do this summer and hopefully I'll do that. Mainly I need to do a lot of drawing. That should hopefully mean more frequent updating.. we'll see how that goes.

500 days of new year

I recently rewatched 500 Days of Summer. Great movie. And I love Zooey Deschanel. This quick sketch was inspired by her. I also recommend the soundtrack which is itself really great. Also I've done a few paintings during break and am still working a little on those but they should go up shortly. Also, Happy new year! I think this past year I got really caught up into the school work and never left time to make things for myself or even to have fun with the things I was making, so this year expect a lot more posts and a lot more fun, I know I will at least.
